How exporting a Changan CS55 Plus from China works
A Changan CS55 Plus export order has five steps, and you see proof at every one. Our team handles inspection coordination, export compliance, customs clearance and logistics so that you receive the vehicles and the paperwork your authority asks for.
What are the 5 steps of an EVtoU export order?
Inquiry and specification
Choose the model year, trim, colour, steering and quantity. We reply with FOB or CIF pricing and availability.
Proforma invoice
A sales agreement records the vehicle specification, delivery timeline and banking terms before any payment is made.
Inspection
We coordinate inspection of the vehicles allocated to your order. Photos and video show the exact vehicle you will receive.
Ro-Ro or container loading
Vehicles are secured with lashing for container shipping, or loaded onto a Ro-Ro vessel, depending on the quote.
Customs and delivery documents
Original shipping documents are sent for clearance: bill of lading, certificate of origin, packing list and certificate of conformity.
What is the difference between FOB and CIF?
FOB (Free On Board) means our price covers the vehicle until it is loaded at the Chinese port, and you arrange sea freight and insurance. CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) means our price also includes sea freight and insurance to your named destination port. We can quote both for the same order so you can compare. The terms follow the Incoterms rules published by the International Chamber of Commerce.
How long does delivery take?
For vehicles already in stock, shipment can be arranged within 10 working days after payment. For a specific configuration, the timeline depends on sourcing and preparation, and sales confirms it before you pay. Sea transit time depends on your destination port and the vessel schedule, so we quote it with the shipping plan.
Which documents come with the vehicles?
The exact set depends on your destination and on what your customs authority requires. Always confirm your country's requirements with your customs broker before the vehicles ship.
- Proforma invoice
- Agreed specification, price and terms before payment.
- Bill of lading (B/L)
- The shipping document issued by the carrier. Original sets are sent for clearance.
- Certificate of origin
- States where the vehicles were manufactured.
- Packing list
- Lists the vehicles and their identification numbers in each shipment.
- Certificate of conformity (COC)
- Provided where your market needs it for registration.
How are the vehicles packed and shipped?
Vehicles travel by Ro-Ro vessel or by container. For containers, vehicles are strapped down with lashing so they cannot move in transit, and mixed-model orders can be planned to use container space efficiently. You can ask us for loading photos or video.
